  From offset, I identified three key topics to research in order to create meaningful content. The first thought was to research on “ How Poor Governance and Poverty Lead to Drug Abuse Among Youth in Kenya” , focusing on how systemic issues like unemployment, corruption, and lack of resources contribute to substance abuse among young people. The second was “ Unraveling the Root Causes of Gender-Based Violence in Kenya: A Call for Inclusive Solutions” , aiming to explore the societal, economic, and cultural factors driving this issue and propose collaborative solutions. After a deep reflection, I was led to a crucial question: “What is the root cause of the serious problems we are discussing today?” Among these, femicide stood out as a persistent and troubling issue. Voices of Change In Kenya Today , young people are confronting a harsh economic reality compounded by rising costs of living, a strained education system, and deepening political divisions. In a recent podcast hosted by Isaac Kirigwi, youth from the Dagoretti area shared their experiences and frustrations, painting a vivid picture of the nation's challenges and their determination to push for change. The Economic Burden The rising cost of living is one of the most pressing concerns. Over the past year, food prices have soared, making basic necessities like rice, sugar, and cooking oil unaffordable for many. Despite this, the government has introduced more taxes, which disproportionately affect the poor and middle class. One youth expressed the desperation of many families: "My family used to afford three meals a day, but now, we have cut back to two. How can the government ask us to pay more taxes when they have done nothing to reduce food prices?" This financi...

      MY DECISION AND IMPLICATIONS FOR CHOOSING AUDIO PODCAST                                                  AND MULTIPLE SPEAKERS   MULTIPLE INTERVIEWEES The issues the society cannot be addressed by one individual because one individuals’ view can be biased and I believe that collaborated story is more credible. That points to my reason for choosing multiple speakers whom I interviewed. Society’s problems are too big and complex for one person to solve or explain alone. If only one person shares their opinion, it might be one-sided or influenced by their personal experiences. No matter how knowledgeable they are, they can’t represent everyone’s views.
